Herb Warmbrodt began his lodging investment career with RHW Companies in the mid-1980s, as Director of Acquisitions for the development of Residence Inns. In 1993, Mr. Warmbrodt joined Property Specialists Incorporated as a partner, specializing in hotel financing and brokerage. He formed WHI in 2003 to provide advisory services solely to the hospitality industry. During his career, Herb has facilitated hotel transactions in excess of $1 Billion. From public companies to sole proprietors, investors rely on his knowledge, experience, integrity and character. Mr. Warmbrodt was a finalist for the prestigious Jack A. Shaffer Financial Advisor of the Year 2011 award by the American Hotel & Lodging Association recognizing him at the ALIS Conference as one of the most influential hospitality executives in the industry for that year.
Zane Varvel, Vice-President of the firm, heads up WHI’s Chicago office. Mr. Varvel has been involved in hotel sales transactions in 10 states and has helped expand the company’s client base, research capabilities and provided multiple new business initiatives. Prior to WHI, he was a commercial real estate broker in Omaha for Grubb and Ellis Pacific Realty. Zane has a wide range of commercial real estate sales and leasing experience, providing clients with the unique skill set required for complex hotel transactions.
Lewis Thompson joined WHI as part of its Chicago expansion in the role of Sales Associate. His background includes work in finance and capital markets, most recently with Lincoln International Capital Management. Lewis graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a degree in Economics and Russian Language, and recently finished a master's degree in Data Science/Predictive Analytics from Depaul University. His focus at WHI is client outreach and business development. Lewis takes pride in building honest, long-term client relationships, and in conducting business with the superior integrity and even-handedness that represent WHI’s values.
Todd Green joined WHI as part of its significant investment to improve and expand its IT infrastructure and communications. He is designing and developing e-marketing opportunities as well as moving the company to cloud based computing and the sharing of information with investors. Mr. Green was a Systems Analyst for Sprint for 7 years and has been providing web site design and marketing services to sole entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations for 15 years. The support he provides helps formulate a cohesive team that clients can depend on throughout the sales process.
